I'm currently retired and living with my wife in the south of Russia. Over the years I had the wonderful opportunity to manage two 50 lane bowling centers, one in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and the other in Toronto.

Most of my early life involved sports. In 1966 I was a US National Baseball Champion, pitching the final game for Detroit. The next year I turned down an offer to sign a professional baseball contract and instead accepted a scholarship to play for the University of Detroit. Unfortunately, a shoulder injury ended my baseball aspirations.

As for bowling, I started going with my dad when I was 9 years old at a time when there were pin-boys. We even did the scoring ourselves with a pencil.

My first job was cleaning ash trays in a bowling center and later as a pin-chaser and then on to the front desk. As I got better at the sport, I learned more an more about the business side of it. Managing a center was a natural progression.

I joined Mensa Canada in 1984 and then Mensa International in the early 2000's. Now I spend my time investing, working with a Canadian artist to create cartoons (I can't draw, so I come up with the ideas), traveling, and spending summer at our dacha (country house)
